Apps Beat Their Own Blood Drive Record PDF Print

And the Apps did it again—besting their best blood drive numbers, collecting 1317 units of blood during the 7th annual Homecoming Blood Drive yesterday.  It looked doubtful for a time, with a trickle of participants coming in early, but ultimately, neither rain nor chilly Boone weather could hold back Mountaineers from coming out to give the gift of life. Chancellor Peacock was seen ‘taking one for the team,’ rolling up his sleeve.  The drive bested last year’s collection by four units.  Other schools in the UNC system are targeting the success of ASU, but so far, no effort has overcome the ASU numbers.
