A NC State Patrolman stopped the truck of a suspect in Watauga County, wanted in the murder of a Wilkes County man—then a bank robbery in Wilkesboro.  The sequence started yesterday morning just east of the Wilkesboros with reports of a man shot, according to sheriff Chris Shew. The trooper stopped the white GMC pickup at the North Pine Run Road intersection with US 421 and made the arrest of the suspect, soon joined by Watauga deputies and eventually Wilkes deputies on the scene. Sheriff Shew said the 251 Goldmine Ridge incident was domestic in nature. He said George Howard Moses, 49, shot multiple times and in the head, was still breathing, as first deputies arrived on the scene, but died shortly thereafter.  Rainer Johannes Hoedl, 51, is currently in custody of the Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office with charges of Murder and Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon.  No bond has been set at this time. Both the suspect and victim list an address of 251 Goldmine Ridge Rd, North Wilkesboro.
