Seven former Appalachian State University football standouts are currently on active National Football League rosters. Here is a look at how the former Mountaineers

fared in Week 2 action.
Oakland Raiders eighth-year defensive end Jason Hunter had five tackles, a sack, a tackle for loss and a pass deflection in the Raiders' 19-9 win over Jacksonville.
Detroit Lions rookie punter/kicker Sam Martin averaged 52 yards over five punts, including an NFL career long 58-yarder and a 56-yarder that he pinned inside the 20, in the Lions' 25-21 loss at Arizona. Martin's two kickoffs traveled 65 yards and both resulted in touchbacks.
St. Louis Rams' second-year wide receiver Brian Quick had a 15-yard reception for a crucial first down during a fourth-quarter touchdown drive during the Rams' 31-24 loss at Atlanta.
Jacksonville Jaguars rookie defensive back Demetrius McCray saw action on special teams and made two tackles in the Jaguars' 19-9 loss at Oakland.
San Francisco 49ers third-year offensive lineman Daniel Kilgore saw significant action along the offensive front in the 49ers' 29-3 loss at Seattle.
New Orleans Saints second-year running back Travaris Cadet saw action but did not record any statistics in the Saints' 16-14 win at Tampa Bay.
Carolina Panthers fourth-year wide receiver Armanti Edwards, who has battled a hamstring injury for the better part of the past month, was active and targeted twice in the Panthers' 24-23 loss at Buffalo.
In all, 10 former Mountaineers are currently on NFL rosters. In addition to the seven members of active 53-man rosters, second-year defensive back DeAndre Presley was signed to the Carolina Panthers' practice squad on Tuesday, rookie running back Steven Miller is on the Detroit Lions' practice squad and rookie linebacker Jeremy Kimbrough will spend the campaign on the Washington Redskins' injured-reserve list after sustaining a season-ending shoulder injury during the preseason.
