Stealin' Wheels in Lenoir--Cycles Targeted PDF Print

The Lenoir Police Department thinks they have a serial cycle stealer on their hands, with one motorcycle and five mopeds taken in just over a week’s time.  The police release says that due to the close proximity both geographically and chronologically these incidents may be related. The first incident was reported on August 23rd when a burgundy 1990 Yamaha Virago motorcycle was stolen from the parking lot of the apartments at 1237 Powell Rd. in Lenoir . The second incident was reported on August 25th, a silver and black Tomos VIP moped was stolen from the Sonic parking lot at 501 Harper Avenue. The third incident was reported on the 26th, a blue Yamaha Zuma moped was stolen from the driveway at 713 Jason Place in Lenoir. The fourth incident was also reported on the 26th, a  yellow and black Dykon moped was stolen from the parking lot of the apartments at 1302 E-17 Piedmont Dr. The fifth incident was reported the next day, the 27th, with a red and white Taotao moped was stolen from 710 Pennton Avenue in Lenoir. The sixth incident was reported on August 31st when a yellow moped was stolen from the front yard of 1411 Merriman St.  The make and model of this moped is unknown.  Anyone with information can call Caldwell Crimestoppers at 828-758-8300.
