Lenoir-Rhyne University Head Men's Lacrosse Coach Greg Paradine has announced the addition of 12 players for the 2014 campaign as the Bears prepare to compete in the first-ever season of South Atlantic Conference competition this spring.
L-R is coming off an 8-8 campaign this past season, its best year since the program's inception in 2011.
"I am really excited about this freshman class," said Paradine. "We addressed some needs and created some depth in our attack and midfield. This class completes our first four-year recruiting cycle here at Lenoir-Rhyne. I can't wait to see these guys in action in 2014!"

Cole Abourjilie (5-11, 210, Attack, Greensboro, N.C./Salisbury Univ.)
- Three-time all-conference
- Two-time All-State
- Member of the 2011 North Carolina High School State Championship Team
- Member of Team Carolina Elite
"Cole (Abourjilie) has a great ability to get to the goal and score. He was a prolific scorer at Northwest Guilford (High School) as well as for Team Carolina Elite," said Paradine.

Aubre Body (5-11, 190, Defense, Durham, N.C./Riverside HS)
- Two-time letterwinner
"Aubre (Body) is a fantastic athlete that is still learning the game and has a tremendous upside," said Paradine.

Hunter Brewer (6-4, 220, Defense, Wilmington, N.C./High Point Univ.)
- Honorable mention all-area
- Two-time letterman in football and lacrosse
"Hunter (Brewer) comes back to Lenoir-Rhyne after a few years at High Point (University)," said Paradine. "His size and athleticism is something we will rely on in the middle of the field. We are thrilled to have him back!"

Matthew Fisher (5-10, 165, Midfield, Westminster, Md./Westminster HS)
- Member of the 2012 State Finalist Lacrosse Team
"Matt (Fisher) is a tremendous utility player," said Paradine. "He has the ability to run with a long pole or short stick as well as face off."

Wesley Flantos (5-6, 145, Attack/Midfield, Concord, N.C./Jay M. Robinson HS)
"Wes (Flantos) could be the sleeper of the class," said Paradine. "He has tremendous ability to change direction and could be a nightmare match-up for some short stick defenders."

Michael Hanlon (5-8, 145, Attack, Haymarket, Va./Battlefield HS)
- Member of three district and regional championship teams
- Two-time first-team all-district, all-region and all-area
- District Player Of The Year
- Honorable mention All-Metropolitan
- 2013 All-American
"Mike (Hanlon) is arguably the most decorated player in the class," said Paradine. "He can do it all from the attack position and is equally skilled at dodging, scoring and feeding."

Parker Leonard (6-2, 180, Midfield, Oak Ridge, N.C./Northwest Guilford HS)

- Three-year letterwinner
- 2013 all-conference
- 2013 Triad All-Star Team
- 2013 North Carolina Great 38 Team
"Parker (Leonard) adds great size and athleticism to our midfield unit," said Paradine. "He excels between the lines and will also add depth to our face-off unit."

Robert Lincks (5-9, 170, Defense, Oak Ridge, N.C./Northwest Guilford HS)

- Three-year letterwinner
- 2013 all-conference, all-region and all-state
- Member of the 2011 State Championship Team
- 2013 North Carolina Great 38 Team Member
"Robert (Lincks) has the ability to play both up top and down low for us," said Paradine. "He is great off the ground and will excel in our transition game."

William Remsen (6-0, 185, Attack, Baldwin, N.Y./Oceanside HS)

- Four-year letterwinner
- 2012 Brine All-American Team Member
- National Honor Society
- Lettered two seasons in football
"William (Remsen) is a big body with a huge shot," said Paradine. "We will be looking forward to him working alongside his brother and teammate John (Remsen) who returns as a junior this year."

Jonathan Collier Stone (5-10, 175, Attack, Marietta, Ga./Sprayberry HS)
- Four-year letterwinner
- Team Offensive MVP
- 2011 Adidas All-American
- Honorable Mention All-American
- Graduated with a perfect 4.0 grade point average
"Jonathan Collier (Stone) is a do-everything kind of attack man," said Paradine. "He dodges, feeds, and scores well but what I like most is his tenaciousness in the riding game."

Hunter Surface (5-11, 195, Midfield, Cartharpin, Va./Battlefield HS)

- Three-year varsity letterwinner
- 2013 Second-Team All-District
"Hunter (Surface) gives us a big 'North-South' alley dodger that gets downhill in a hurry," said Paradine. "His size and speed will be a big addition to our midfield group."

Ethan Tingler (6-1, 165, Midfield, Stokesville, N.C./Northwest Guilford HS)
- Three-year varsity letterwinner
- All-State in 2012 and 2013
- Member of the 2011 State Championship Team
"Ethan is arguably our most dynamic and athletic player in the class," said Paradine. "He is an old school 'two-way' midfielder that can fly up and down the field."
