More counterfeit cash is turning up in Wilkes County—now $100 bills, as well as the $20’seen over the past year. BB&T in Wilkesboro reported last Friday that three bills were in deposits, including two $100 bills with the same serial numbers.  A $20 was also turned over to police. The bogus cash had been in deposits from Sweet Frog and Dollar General in Wilkesboro, according to the bank. Then Sally’s Beauty Supply reported that their bank, First Citizens, reported their deposit had a bogus $100 bill, one the bank had already turned over to the Secret Service. Police were told by bank officials that a photo of a person passing a $100 bill was obtained from Rock Creek BP—a bill with the same serial number. So far, there are no arrests in the investigation.
