The Washington Redskins trimmed their roster down to 87 players on Monday. Among the players that were released or placed on waivers was former Appalachian State linebacker Jeremy Kimbrough. Kimbough suffered a torn labrum in his right shoulder and was out for the season.
He was signed this spring as an undrafted free agent. Kimbrough hoped to make the roster as a backup inside linebacker. The 5-foot-11, 240-pounder had three tackles in Washington's preseason opener, but left the game with what originally was described by Coach Mike Shanahan as a separated right shoulder.
