Harvey Promoted To Single A PDF Print

Former Bandys High pitcher Hunter Harvey isn't wasting any time making his way up the corporate ladder. Harvery, who was taken by the Baltimore Orioles in the first round of the Major League Baseball Draft in June, made his debut Class A debut T0uesday night for the Aberdeen IronBirds (Md.) of the New York-Penn League.
Harvey, who got his start with the Gulf Coast Rookie League Orioles, went 4.1 innings in a 1-0 loss against the Hudson Valley Renegades. He gave up four hits, one unearned run, he walked one walk, and she truck out five. The only run he gave up came on an errant pickoff attempt in the fifth inning.
During his stay with the GCL Orioles, Harvey was 0-0 in five starts with a 1.35 ERA. He racked up 18 strikeouts, including eight in his third outing against the GCL Red Sox on Aug. 1.
