Watauga High girl's tennis coach Beth Watts will have to wait at least one more day before she makes her head-coaching debut. Monday's season opener with Ashe County at the WHS Tennis Courts has been rained out. The match will be played on Thursday, August 22, beginning at 4:30 p.m. WHS volleyball with Ashe County at Lentz-Eggers Gym and WHS soccer with Ashe County at Jack Groce Stadium will go on as scheduled.
The WHS tennis team will now, weather permitting, play its season opener at home against Mount Airy Tuesday afternoon at 4 p.m.
