McKinney Named Avery Volleyball Coach PDF Print

Mitchell McKinney has been named the new girl's volleyball coach at Avery

High. He takes over a veteran team that returns all but two players from last year.
McKinney, who graduated from Avery and coached volleyball and basketball at Mitchell the last three years, was hired by Avery County Schools as an ISS instructor at Avery Middle School and volleyball coach in mid-July.
McKinney began his coaching career at West McDowell Middle School in Marion, where he coached football. McKinney was also an assistant coach at Avery with the varsity boys basketball team, when Bo Manis was head coach.
And he was also a middle school basketball coach at Avery Middle School.
