Foulkes Wins At Nationals PDF Print

James Foulkes of Boone, N.C., won the 5-kilometer race at the National Senior

Games in Cleveland. OH., on July 20. Foulkes, who is 86-years-old, bested the field in his age category of 85-and-over.
Foulkes finished the race in 36:46.2 and bested his closest competitor by nearly a full minute (Joe Barger of Austin, TX, who is 88-years-old) finished second in 37:33.6).
Mark Furkis of Ligonier, IN. (age 58) was the overall winner as he completed the race in 18:11.4; Brian Schroeder of Georgetown, TX (who is 51) finished second overall in 18:17.8; Keith Duncan of Orinda, CA. (who is 59) finished third in 19:21.5.
