|Harvey Fans Eight In GCL Win|

Former Bandys High pitcher Hunter Harvey turned in his best performance of the season, so far. Harvey, who wa taken in the first round (22nd pick overall) of the Major League Baseball Amateur Draft in JUne by the Baltimore Orioles, allowed no runs, no hits, walked one and struck out a career-high eight batters in three innings against
the Gulf Coast League Red Sox on August 1.
Harvey, who plays for the GCL Orioles, combined on a three-hitter as the Orioles down the Red Sox, 3-1. Harvey was scheduled to make his next start, either Tuesday night against the GCL Red Sox, or Wednesday night against the GCL Twins. He's expected to pitch four innings in his next outing.
In three appearances, all starts, this season, Harvey is 0-0 with a 3.00 earned-run-average. He's given up two earned runs in six innings with a walk and ten strikeouts.
