Ryder Jones resembles the blistering heat in Arizona these days. The former

Watauga High baseball player is off to a great start in his professional career.
In his first 12 games with the AZL Giants, the Rookie Arizona League affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, Jones is batting .422 with 19 hits, including six doubles, a home run, and eight runs-batted-in. Jones hit his first professional home run against the AZL Angels on July 15.
Jones was selected by the Giants in the second round (64th pick overall) of the Major League Baseball Amateur Draft on June 6.
