A mother and daughter from Lenoir were injured in the crash of their small sedan and a tractor trailer during the noon hour on US 321 at Aho Road.  The 9-1-1 call came in at 12:48, witnesses reporting that the white Kia flipped several times after the collision with the front of the tractor trailer. Two Watauga Medics ambulances transported driver Sarah Delcie Conner, 39, and her daughter, Falon Breedlove, 14, to Watauga Medical Center, trooper Alexander saying injuries did not appear to be serious. He identified the trucker as 60-year old James Hoyt Teeter of Oakboro, NC, and said the trucker thought he checked carefully for oncoming traffic, but did not see the small Kia as he pulled out, the car running up on the tire of the truck, causing it to flip several times, coming to rest on the side of the road. Blowing Rock Fire/Rescue checked the passengers for anyone pinned in the overturned sedan, the worked to keep some traffic flowing through the one open lane on the highway as vehicles backed up both north and south-bound in the heavy holiday week traffic. Alexander cited Teeter for Failure to Yield in the accident, saying he drove for Bonsal American of Charlotte.
