Meth Charges Filed After Traffic Stop PDF Print

On May 23rd, Deputies with the Avery County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 221 South.  The vehicle was driven by twenty five year old Melissa Dellinger of Crossnore.  Ms. Dellinger’s drivers license were expired and officers say there was no insurance on the vehicle she was driving. Officers were investigating during the traffic stop and located methamphetamine in Ms. Dellinger’s possession.  Dellinger was arrested and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Officers also issued several traffic citations to Ms. Dellinger.
