Watauga High Athletic Director Tom Wright has announced that Tuesday night's baseball game between the Pioneers and St. Stephens is a first-round Northwestern 3A/4A Conference Tournament

game at Pioneer Field. Therefore booster club passes will not be honored.
Tuesday night's game begins at 6:30 p.m. with radio covearge at 6 p.m. on Classic Hits 100.7 FM. There is a 40% chance of rain in the forecast for Tuesday night.
The tournament will shift to MSDeal Stadium in Granite Falls, N.C., Friday and Saturday for the semifinals and finals. If the Pioneers, who have won nine in a row advance, they will play either Hibriten or South Caldwell in the semifinals Friday afternoon at 4:30 p.m.
The Spartans (11-9), the No.2 seed in the tournament field, will be without their best player, Ethan James, iwho had surgery to repair an torn rotator cuff last week. James, who will attend Western Carolina University to play football next year, suffered the injury during the football season last fall.
The championship game will be played Saturday night at 7 p.m. South Caldwell is the defending champion. The Spartans have won seven of the last eight tournament titles.
