Davis, McGhee Earn Deep South Conference Honors PDF Print

Lenoir-Rhyne's Imari Davis and Steven McGhee have been named the Deep South Conference Men's Lacrosse Offensive and Defensive Players Of The Week, respectively, league officials announced this

afternoon. Both players led L-R to a pair of conference road victories last Friday and Sunday over Florida Tech (11-6) and Florida Southern (12-11 in overtime). Davis, a junior midfielder from San Diego, Calif., finished the week with four goals and five assists and scored twice in both matches to lead the Bears to the wins. Davis now has 15 goals and 10 assists on the year for Lenoir-Rhyne.
McGhee, a junior goalkeeper from Durham, N.C., improved to 7-1 on the year after earning both victories and notching 10 saves in each of the contests last week. McGhee has an 8.41 goals-against average in 2013 to go along with 88 saves so far this year. Rollins' Riley Robinson was named the Deep South Conference Freshman Of The Week.
Lenoir-Rhyne (7-4, 4-1), winners of three straight matches, faces Rollins in a Deep South Conference match on Thursday afternoon at home beginning at 4:00 p.m., at Moretz Stadium. L-R remains at home on Saturday afternoon when the Bears face Tampa in a league contest. Match time is set for 1:00 p.m.
