The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Basketball Team is ranked fourth in this week's NCAA Division II Southeast Regional Poll.
Other South Atlantic Conference Teams in this week's regional poll include Anderson (third), Newberry (ninth) and Catawba (10th).
L-R (19-8), the No. 2 seed in the 2013 Food Lion SAC Tournament, will face sixth-seeded Tusculum (15-12) in the semifinals on Saturday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. The league tournament semifinals and finals are taking place at Timmons Arena in Greenville, S.C., on the campus of Furman University this year. The championship game is scheduled for Sunday afternoon at 1:30 p.m.
Lenoir-Rhyne defeated Wingate, the seventh seed, by a 59-57 score in the opening round of the tournament at Shuford Memorial Gymnasium in Hickory, N.C., on Wednesday night.
Eight teams from each of the eight regions will advance to the NCAA Division II National Tournament.
In the Southeast Region, the tournament champions from the South Atlantic Conference, Peach Belt, and Conference Carolinas will receive an automatic bid, with five more earning at-large selections.
The NCAA Division II National Basketball Tournament selections are scheduled to be unveiled on Sunday night at 10:00 p.m. at www.ncaa.com
