Lenoir-Rhyne's Tyler Kotch has been named the Deep South Conference Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player Of The Week today.

Kotch, a junior from Butler, Pa., scored the match-winning goal just 24 seconds into overtime in Lenoir-Rhyne's 12-11 triumph over Catawba last Saturday in the league opener at Moretz Stadium.
The victory was the Bears' first over the Indians in three tries all-time. Kotch finished the match tied for team lead in goals with three and now has seven goals, four assists, three ground balls and 11 points on the season. Last season, Kotch totaled 12 goals and six assists and has been a starter all three years for the Bears.
In 2011 as a freshman, Kotch led the squad in goals scored (25) and total points (33) to go along with 34 ground balls.
Saint Leo's John Laronga and Florida Tech's Nick Gardner were named the Deep South Conference Men's Lacrosse Defensive and Freshman Players Of The Week, respectively.
Lenoir-Rhyne University (2-3, 1-0) returns to action on Saturday afternoon against Wingate University on the road in a Deep South Conference contest beginning at 2:00 p.m.
