A Foscoe man was injured when he stepped in front of a car, apparently trying to flag down a ride just after dark last night.  Boone Police say that 27-year old Clayton Shook had waved his arms at one vehicle that did not stop, then apparently stepped into the path of the 97 Geo that 23-year old Megan Ledford was driving on West King Street near Pinnacle Drive. Ledford, of Lenoir, was not hurt, but Shook was rushed to Watauga Medical Center by Watauga Medics while Boone Police investigated, but so far there are no charges from the accident.
