L-R Men's Lacrosse Beats Lees-McRae, 10-2 PDF Print

The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Lacrosse Team (1-2) picked up its first win of the 2013 season, 10-2, over Lees-McRae (0-4) Wednesday afternoon at Watauga High School.

L-R sophomore Ned Kaish (Atlanta, Ga.) led the way with a match-high four goals in the victory for the Bears.
In addition, sophomore Connor Squires (Lawrenceville, Ga.) and junior midfielder Tyler Kotch (Butler, Pa.) added two goals and two assists each as well for Lenoir-Rhyne.
Lees-McRae's Jeff White (Middle Township, N.J.) scored both of the Bobcats' goals on the day in the loss.
The Bears were in control throughout as they scored the match's first eight goals and held the Bobcats scoreless until the fourth period.
Lenoir-Rhyne was dominant in holding a 42-10 edge in shots taken and a 42-22 advantage in ground balls in picking up the road victory as well.
In goal, Lenoir-Rhyne junior Steven McGhee (Durham, N.C.) earned the win after allowing just two goals to go along with five saves. Meanwhile, Lees-McRae's goalkeeper, Ryan Harrison (Lake Mary, Fla.), suffered the loss despite totaling 13 saves on the day.
Lenoir-Rhyne opens Deep South Conference play on Saturday against Mars Hill at Mears Stadium in Mars Hill, N.C., beginning at 2:00 p.m. Lees-McRae, meanwhile, hosts Shorter at Watauga High School on Saturday beginning at Noon in a non-conference affair.
