A Saturday armed robbery has led to two arrests.  The Caldwell Sheriff’s Office says that at approximately 5:15 pm, an employee of Tim’s Discount Foods of Lenoir, reported to the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office that a subject entered the store and displayed a knife and demanded cash. The subject took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the area in a Green Honda Accord.   With the assistance of tips from Citizens as well as members of the NC Highway Patrol, Investigators and patrol deputies were able to identify the vehicle used in this case. That information led to the identification and arrest of Wesley Blaine Calloway, alleged to have driven the vehicle used in the robbery.  Calloway was placed under arrest without incident at his residence on Saturday afternoon around 3:00.   Shawn Arlando Miller was later identified as the person that entered Discount Foods and displayed the knife.  Miller was placed under arrest on Sunday at 6:30 pm.  Sheriff Alan Jones credited good witness information, and said,  “Agencies working together, we were able to solve this crime and get these people out of the community.”
Shawn Arlando Miller is charged with one count of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and is being held at the Caldwell County Detention Center under a $75,000.00 secured bond. Wesley Blaine Calloway is charged with Conspiracy to commit Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and is being held at the Caldwell County Detention Center under a $75,000.00 Secured Bond.
