Lees-McRae College sophomore middle blocker Joshua Jones (Christmas, Fla.) has been named the Conference Carolinas men's volleyball player of the week for the first time in his career, announced

league officials Tuesday. Jones led the Bobcats to a strong season-opening win over Limestone on Saturday, posting 15 kills, seven blocks and a blistering .571 hitting percentage. The Christmas, Fla. native averaged three kills per set and tallied 19.5 of the Bobcats' 81.5 points, accounting for just under 25% of LMC's points.
