Kerrigan Earns Daktronics all-Southeast Region Honors PDF Print

Lees-McRae College junior midfielder Kaitlyn Kerrigan (Lakewood Ranch, Fla.) garnered Daktronics NCAA Division II all-Southeast Region honors for the first

time in her career Monday, earning a spot on the second team after leading the Bobcats to their second straight Conference Carolinas regular season title.
Kerrigan adds to her individual awards bouquet with her first career all-region selection, earning a spot on the second team after garnering her first all-conference honors with all-Conference Carolinas First team recognition. The Lakewood Ranch, Fla. native paced the conference with six assists this season in league play, posting eight helpers overall. Kerrigan also tallied three goals against league opponents, including a pair of match-winners against Barton College and Mount Olive College.
Columbus State University and Lenoir-Rhyne University led the way with six all-region selections each, as Armstrong Atlantic State University placed three players on the all-region teams, including Southeast Region Player of the Year Morgan Mitchell.
Lees-McRae is expected to return to 18 letter-winners from this year's Conference Carolinas regular season championship squad, including rising seniors Kerrigan, Alicia Pierson (Brooksville, Fla.), LeeAnn Sullivan (Greensboro, N.C.), and MaryBeth Sullivan (Greensboro, N.C.).
