For the first time in 50 years, the Lenoir-Rhyne University Football Team has earned a berth to the postseason. This selection to the playoffs is also the first as a member of NCAA Division II for L-R.
Lenoir-Rhyne (8-2), the third seed in Super Region No. 2, will host sixth-seeded Fort Valley State (8-3) next Saturday at Moretz Stadium in the First Round of the NCAA Division II Playoffs.
This will be the first-ever meeting between the two schools. The winner of the contest will face Carson-Newman (8-2) in the second round of the playoffs on Saturday, November 24, in Jefferson City, Tenn.
