North Greenville Outlasts Bobcats In Four Sets PDF Print

The North Greenville University women's volleyball team placed three players in double-figure kills and tallied 84 digs en route to a hard-fought 3-1 marathon victory over Lees-McRae College in Conference Carolinas play on Friday evening.

North Greenville (16-15, 8-7 CC) won the match by scores of 28-26, 15-25, 25-13, and 31-29, posting a .168 hitting percentage while limiting Lees-McRae (12-15, 8-7 CC) to five service aces. The Bobcats recorded 54 kills, 48 digs, nine blocks and a .230 hitting percentage in the contest, as North Greenville dug out 84 Lees-McRae attacks while tallying 48 smashes.
Taylor Clendenin (Statesville, N.C.) paced the Bobcats with a double-double, posting a match-high 16 kills to go along with 12 digs. Rachel Grether (Ocala, Fla.) added 11 kills, as Haydn Beatty (Norman, Okla.) chipped in nine smashes and four blocks (one solo, three assists). Clendenin also tallied a pair of block assists to move into eighth on the program's all-time list.
Lauren Fox (Garland, Texas) added eight kills and five blocks assists, as Megan Mitchell (Minden, Nev.) and Sariah Suryadevara (Cincinnati, Ohio) recorded 40 assists and 15 digs, respectively for the Bobcats.
Samantha Del Toro and Rebekah Mayes led the way for North Greenville with 16 and 14 kills, respectively, as Mayes added 12 digs to record a double-double. Abigail Frame tallied a double-double of her own with match-highs of 40 assists and 20 digs, while Yomi Adeyeye chipped in 11 kills and Megan Steading posted 18 digs.
Lees-McRae returns to the court on Tuesday, November 6 when the Bobcats travel to Charlotte, N.C. to take on Queens University of Charlotte in their regular season finale at 12 p.m.
