Eight former Appalachian State University football student-athletes are currently in the National Football League and six are members of their teams' active 53-man rosters. Below is a look at how the former Mountaineers fared in Week 8 of

NFL action:

WR Brian Quick (St. Louis Rams) hauled in a career-long 39-yard reception from QB Kellen Clemmons  in the fourth quarter of the Rams' 45-7 loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday in London.
DB Corey Lynch (San Diego Chargers) recorded one tackle in the Chargers' 7-6 loss to the Cleveland Browns.
RB Travaris Cadet (New Orleans Saints), OL Daniel Kilgore (San Franciso 49ers) and DB DeAndre Presley (Miami Dolphins) all saw action for their respective teams but did not record any statistics.
WR Armanti Edwards did not see playing time in the Carolina Panthers' 22-23 loss to the Chicago Bears on Sunday afternoon.
DE Jason Hunter (Denver Broncos) and LB D.J. Smith (Green Bay Packers) are on their respective teams' injured reserve lists after suffering season-ending injuries. Smith suffered a season-ending knee injury against the Houston Texans October 14.  In six games this season, Smith had 39 tackles, two quarterback sacks and four passes defended.
