Davidson College will remain a member of the Southern Conference, at least for now, according to Andy Katz of ESPN. The Wildcats, who have dominated the Southern Conference in men's

basketball, has rejected an invitation to join the Colonial Athletic Conference next season.
Davidson, the College of Charleston and Appalachian State were extended an invitation to join the CAA back in July. The College of Charleston's Board of Trustees have meetings scheduled on Thursday and Friday of this week, with the athletics talk supposedly being done on Friday.

The CAA is looking to replace three member schools, Georgia State (which will join the Sun Belt Conference), Virginia Commonwealth (joining the Altantic 10 Conference), and Old Dominian (which will join Conference-USA), who will leave the CAA after this season.
