Bobcats Crack Southeast Regional Rankings PDF Print

The Lees-McRae College women's soccer team has cracked the NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division II Women's Southeast Region rankings for the first time this season, entering the week tied for 10th, announce NSCAA

officials Tuesday. Lees-McRae (5-3-1, 4-1 CC) enters the week having won four of its opening five matches in Conference Carolinas play, including a pivotal 2-1 win at Belmont Abbey College on Sep. 26, as the Bobcats continue their quest to defend their league regular season and tournament titles from a season ago. The Bobcats are also ranked among the national leaders in several statistical categories, including 39th in scoring offense (2.33) and 43rd in goals against average (0.772).
Armstrong Atlantic State University (6-1-1) tops the region this week, followed by Columbus State University (9-1-0), Lenoir-Rhyne University (7-1-0), Tusculum College (8-1-1), and Lander University (6-1-2). North Georgia College & State University (8-2-0) is sixth, followed by Clayton State University (7-3-0), University of North Carolina-Pembroke (5-3-1), Flagler College (7-2-1), and Lees-McRae and Catawba College (6-4-0) in a tie for 10th.
Lees-McRae returns to the pitch on Thursday when the Bobcats travel to Due West, S.C. to continue their conference schedule against Erskine College at 5 p.m.
