Bumgarner Leads Giants To NL West Title PDF Print

Madison Bumgarner won his 16th game of the year as he pitched the San Francisco Giants to their second division championship in three years SatUrday night. Bumgarner went 5.2 innings, gave

up three runs, two earned, on five hits with six strikeouts in an 8-4 win against the San Diego Padres at AT&T Park. Newcomer Marco Scutaro, a journeyman player who began the year with the Colorado Rockies, had three hits and three RBI to pace San Francisco (89-64) offensively.
Bumgarner is 16-10 on the year with a 3.26 earned-run-average. He has 187 strikeouts and he's given up 74 earned runs in 204.1 innings.
