Speir Pulls Out Another Win PDF Print

Sophomore Zeb Speir, who played at Watauga High last fall, led his new school, Smokey Mountain to its second win of the year Friday night. Speir, who threw for a game-high 139 yards with a pair of

touchdown passes, led the Mustangs to a 21-20 win over West Henderson. Speir hooked up with Zechariah Carter on a game-winning 47-yard toss with 90 seconds left to play.
Smoky Mountain (2-4, 2-0) is now unbeaten in the Western North Carolina Athletic Conference after starting out its season 0-4.
