Madison Bumgarner isn't a stranger when it comes to playing in big games. The left hander from South Caldwell High picked up his 15th win of the year Monday night as the San Francisco Giants

defeated the Colorado Rockies 2-1 a AT&T Park. Bumgarner (15-10) went six innings and gave up an earned run on four hits with six strikeouts during his stint. But he also walked five men. He faced 24 men and threw 101 pitches. Despite the rollercoaster ride, the Giants made Bumgarner a winner as they scored a run in the bottom of the sixth.
Hunter Pence drove in the go-ahead run with an RBI single. From there, the Giants bullpen made the lead stand up as San Francisco (84-63) maintained its grip on first place in the National League West (they oown an eight-game lead on the Los Angeles Dodgers).
