West Forsyth (4-5-2), a member of the Central Piedmont 4A Conference. The Pioneers (9-1-1) defeated the Titans 1-0 in a non-conference match down in Clemmons.
And senior Alex Parsons, whose had the "Midas Touch" of late, came through again with another big goal. He tallied at the 60-minute mark of the second half. Cam Linnville picked up the assist on the play.
"It's a quality win for our kids, especially after the big week we had last week," said WHS coach Woody McKay. "And Alex has been real hot of late. He has scored some big goals for us this season. Cam set him up with a beautiful pass, and Alex finished."
The Pioneers travel to Taylorsville to play Alexander Central in a Northwestern 3A/4A Conference match Thursday night. The JV team play to a 1-1 tie against West Forsyth. Dylan Hill scored on a penalty kick for the only WHS goal.
