WHS Tennis Wins Ninth Straight PDF Print

The Watauga High womnen's tennis team wrapped up a busy week by winning their third match in three days. The Pioneers (9-0) knocked off Asheville 6-3 at the Sports Complex Friday afternoon in a non-conference match.

Annika Davidson put the Pioneers on top to say with a victory at No.6 singles.
Davidson defeated Rosemary Mosher in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0, to give WHS a 4-2 lead. Hannah Petersen and Emily Burwell put the contest away with a win at No.2 doubles. Petersen and Burwell defeated Adi Luke and Leah Smith of the Cougars, 10-2. The Pioneers entertain South Caldwell next Tuesday at the Sports Complex at 4 p.m.
