Pioneers Win One, Lose One At Tri-Meet PDF Print

The Watauga High volleyball team earned on split on Saturday at Lentz-Eggers Gym. The Pioneers (8-2) defeated McDowell in a three-game sweep, 25-9 , 25-16, 25-19; but the Pioneers lost to Cornelius-Hough in four games, 22-25,

15-25, 25-17, 15-25. Kristen Carter paced WHS with 64 assists. Channing Hagaman had 28 kills, and Rebecca Hayes had 28 kills, six blocks and four service aces. Ashlyn Van Dyke had 21 digs and three service aces.
The Pioneers (3-0 Northwestern 3A/4A Conference) return to conference play Thursday at Alexander Central.
