Appalachian State University men's tennis head coach Bob Lake announced his 2013 spring schedule on Tuesday, highlighted with ten home matches set for the season.
"We, again, have a very tough schedule," Lake said. "We face three ranked opponents, added

Army and combined with the always very tough Southern Conference teams, we will need to be ready to go."
The Mountaineers will begin the season with two road tests as they travel to nationally-ranked opponents in South Carolina on January 19, then to UNC Wilmington on January 21.
The Apps return home for the first week of February for three matches against Presbyterian College, nationally-ranked East Tennessee State and Tennessee Tech. Before two more road matches against UNC Asheville and East Carolina, the Mountaineers will head to Florida during their spring break. While in the Sunshine State, Appalachian will have a neutral site match against Army in Orlando and then travel to Daytona Beach to face Bethune-Cookman.
The Apps begin conference play on March 15 & 16 when they travel to Charleston, S.C. to face The Citadel and College of Charleston, respectively. Appalachian's home conference schedule opens with a stretch of five straight matches, beginning on March 20 when it hosts
Davidson.
The Mountaineers will travel to Furman on April 3 and then to Chattanooga on April 6. The Black & Gold return home to close out the 2013 schedule with the final Southern Conference match against Elon and a non-conference match against Gardner-Webb on April 12.
The SoCon Championships begin on April 18 and will run through the 21st. This season's tournament will be held at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center on the campus of Elon University.
