A Winston-Salem man was critically injured in a crash east of the Wilkesboros yesterday afternoon.  The 12:50pm crash occurred when 35-year old David Perez lost control of his 2004 Ford Ranger pickup, ran off US 421 to the right near the Red White and Blue Road overpass. Perez over-corrected back out into the highway and overturned some three times, the force ejecting Perez from his truck. Roaring River first responders reported a head injury as they blocked off US 421 North, then Wilkes Medics rushed the man to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center for treatment.  Trooper Jennings is investigating.
