NASCAR legend Junior Johnson's mansion has been officially sold. The property, which includes a 150-acre farm, was sold for $2.3 million dollars. The lucky winner was Loretta Sides Shore, who

owns Shore's Nursery, a Christmas tree industry located in Lewisville.  She was the winning bidder at an auction on August 7. Shore's Nursery grows Fraser firs on more than a dozen farms it owns or leases in the Laurel Springs and Sparta areas of Alleghany County.
Shore is the daughter of Homer and Bonnie Sides, who were among the first large-scale Christmas tree growers in the state and provided the White House Christmas tree when President Richard Nixon was in office.
The house was a dream home for Johnson, taking two years to build under his scrutiny. The black rails of the cattle fencing are a landmark on the north side of U.S. 421, just west of Interstate 77.
