Right handed pitcher Bailey Clark of Asheville Christian Academy has changed his mind. And he will trade his black and gold colors for blue and white. Last spring, the rising senior made a verbal commitment to play baseball at Appalachian State Univeristy. But all that changed when Pollard left in June. And Clark has decided to follow Pollard, so he has made a

verbal commitment to play baseball at Duke.  The 6-foot-4, 190-pound right-hander was an All-Carolinas Athletic Association pick for the Lions last spring. He maintained a 1.30 earned-run average with 1.49 strikeouts per inning and threw a no-hitter against Asheville School. Clark played for the Impact Baseball Dirtbags and was a member of the Region 8 team all-star team that won a bronze medal at the State Games of North Carolina in June.
