|Tanyi Transfers To Colorado State|

According to the SB Nation Sports Network in Denver, CO., and USA Today, linebacker/defensive lineman Lanston Tanyi, who was suspended by Appalachian State University football coach Jerry Moore for violating team rules last season,
is reportedly transferring to Colorado State University, a Division I school located in Fort Collins, CO., and a member of the Mountain West Conference. Tanyi, a native of Shelby, N.C., still has a year of college eligibilty remaining. He only played in four games in 2011. He made 20 tackles, including 13 solo stops and two tackles-for-loss before he was suspended. Tanyi also missed the 2010 season with a foot injury. Tanyi graduated from ASU in three years and will enroll at Colorado State as a graduate student. According to the report, Tanyi is waiting on the necessary paper work to be completed. According to NCAA rules, Tanyi will be eligible to play right away, if he enrolls in a post-graduate course that is not available at his previous school.
