L-R Women's Soccer Ranked Ninth In The National Preseason Poll PDF Print

The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Soccer Team is ranked ninth in the 2012 NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division II Top 25 National Preseason Poll. NSCAA is the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. The Bears are coming off a 17-3-1 season including a perfect 9-0 record in the South Atlantic Conference in 2011. L-R also won the SAC Regular

Season Championship for the second straight year last fall and advanced to the finals of the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional Tournament. Lenoir-Rhyne, 36-5-3 over its last two years, finished the 2011 campaign ranked ninth in the final national poll as well. L-R is now under the direction of Head Coach Cally Morrill, who is entering her first season as Bear mentor after spending two years at the helm at Lees-McRae (2010-11).
Saint Rose (23-1-1), the defending NCAA Division II National Champions, enters the season ranked No. 1 in the preseason poll.
L-R opens the season on Friday, August 31, against Georgia College at home in the Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Soccer Classic at the Moretz Sports - Athletic Complex beginning at 7:30 p.m.
