Crawdads Race By Drive, 7-4 PDF Print

The Hickory Crawdads topped the Greenville Drive 7-4 at Fluor Field in Greenville Sunday night. Hirotoshi Onaka helped pace the offense with three RBIs in his 'Dads debut. The win keeps Hickory a game behind West Virginia for first place in the North Division of the South Atlantic League

standings. Hickory (24-20; 60-53), which trailed 4-1, staged a three-run rally in the sixth inning to tie the game. Kellin Deglen had an RBI double in the inning and Onaka had a two-run double that tied things up at 4-4. Hickory took the lead for good in the top of the eighth.
Trever Adams sparked the rally with a lead-off walk. He scored the go-ahead run on an RBI double by Jordan Akins.  Akins took third on a groundout, and scored on an RBI double by Rougned Odor one out later that gave the 'Dads a 6-4 lead. Deglen drove in his second run of the game with a double in the ninth.
Deglen had three hits, including two doubles, and drove in two runs; Onaka had a double and three RBI. Taylor Dennis (3-0) tossed three scoreless innings in relief and picked up the win; Phil Klein tossed a scoreless eighth and ninth innings to pick up his seventh save.
