Angel Pagan homered and had four hits to back a solid pitching performance by Madison Bumgarner that gave the San Francisco Giants an 11-6 win against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field Saturday night. Buster Posey and Melky Cabrera also homered as the Giants pounded out a season-high 17 hits. San Francisco had 16 hits in a 16-4 rout of Colorado
on Friday night. Bumgarner (12-6) kept the Rockies in check, allowing one run and five hits in six strong innings. He struck out seven and walked one. The win leaves San Francisco (58-49) with a 1/2 game lead on the Los Angeles Dodgers for first place in the National League West. The Dodgers (58-50) beat the Chicago Cubs 3-1 Saturday night. The Giants, who have won two in row, have beaten Coloardo five times in seven meetings this season, which includes four wins in five games at Coors Field. Bumgarner has 137 strikeouts in 148.2 innings pitched, and he's given up 56 earned runs for a 3.03 earned-run-average. Opponents are batting .227 against him this season. Bumgarner will make his next scheduled start against the St. Louis Cardinals in Busch Stadium Thursday afternoon.
