Alouettes Add Foster To Practice Roster PDF Print

The Alouettes announced on Wednesday the signing of rookie import receiver and return specialist Jayson Foster to the practice roster. Foster (5’7’’, 175 lbs.) signed with the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent in 2008 and spent the next two seasons in the NFL with the Dolphins, the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Denver Broncos and the Baltimore

Ravens, suiting up in eight pre-season games. A college quarterback at Georgia Southern, Foster played multiple positions excelling at receiver as well as on special teams returning punts. In 2007, the elusive Canton, GA native completed 109-of-170 passes for 1,203 yards and six touchdowns and rushed for an NCAA all-divisions quarterback record 1,844 yards (7.1 yards per carry) while scoring 24 rushing touchdowns.
His career was highlighted following a school record-tying six rushing touchdowns against Coastal Carolina in 2007. Foster later took home the Walter Payton Award, honoring the top offensive player at the in the Football Championship Subdivision that same year. Most recently, the 27-year-old receiver played for the Sacramento Mountain Lions of the United Football League.
