The Alouettes announced on Wednesday the signing of rookie import receiver and return specialist Jayson Foster to the practice roster. Foster (5’7’’, 175 lbs.) signed with the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent in 2008 and spent the next two seasons in the NFL with the Dolphins, the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Denver Broncos and the Baltimore
Ravens, suiting up in eight pre-season games. A college quarterback at Georgia Southern, Foster played multiple positions excelling at receiver as well as on special teams returning punts. In 2007, the elusive Canton, GA native completed 109-of-170 passes for 1,203 yards and six touchdowns and rushed for an NCAA all-divisions quarterback record 1,844 yards (7.1 yards per carry) while scoring 24 rushing touchdowns.
