The Augusta GreenJackets held on for the 3-2 win against the Hickory Crawdads Friday night before they doubled up Hickory 6-3 on Saturday at Lake Olmstead Stadium in Augusta, Ga. With the double loss, the Crawdads have fallen one game behind the Hagerstown Suns for first place in the North Division of the South Atlantic League. They've also fallen into

a two-way tie for second place with West Virginia. The GreenJackets (19-16, 51-53) rallied from a 2-0 deficit Friday night against the Crawdads (20-16; 56-49). A two-run single with the bases loaded by Ben Thomas in the fourth inning that ricocheted off the mound into center field tied the game at 2-2; Joe Staley's run-scoring single through the left side in the fifth inning gave Augusta a 3-2 lead. Will Lamb (4-8) suffered the loss; Bryce Bandilla (2-3), who spotted Hickory a 2-0 lead, went six innings and picked up the win. Cody Hall gave up a hit in the ninth, but closed things out for his 20th save.
The Crawdads scored  both of their runs in the top of the second inning. Drew Robinson drove in both runs with a two-run triple; the Crawdads only made five hits. Zach Cone and Jorge Alfaro were both 1-3 with a run scored and a walk.
The GreenJackets, thanks to a four-run rally in the fifth inning Saturday, defeated  the Crawdads, 6-3. Jose Flores had two hits, including a double and drove in two runs; Brett Krill had three hits and drove in two runs for the GreenJackets. Kevin Torres went 3-4 to pace the Crawdads; Zach Cone and Rougned Odor each drove in a run. Victor Payano (5-6) suffered the loss. He gave up four earned runs with six walks in four innings.
