Nathan Hyatt, who played at Appalachian State University and was taken by the Atlanta Braves in the 13th round of the Major League Baseball Draft, has put up some impressive number with the Danville (Va.) Braves of the Rookie Appalachian League. Hyatt, who had 16 saves with the Mountaineers this past season, is currently 2-0 with the Braves.

He also picked up his second save of the year Saturday night in a 6-3 win against the Princeton Rays. Hyatt tossed a scoreless ninth inning with a walk and two strikeouts.
For the year, Hyatt has made five appearances. He's given up two earned runs in six innings with ten strikeouts and two walks for a 3.00 earned-run-average.
Jeremy Dowdy was 0-3 Saturday night for the Winston-Salem Dash in a 14-1 loss to the Lynchburg Hillcats in the Advanced Class A Carolina League. Dowdy is hitting .250 with the Dash in three games; overall he's batting .345 in eight games combined with the Dash and the Bristol (Va.) White Sox of the Rookie Appalachian League.
And Will Callaway continues to shine in the Cape Cod Collegiate Wooden Bat League. The rising senior from ASU is hitting .281 with a home run, four doubles, a triple, and 12 RBI in 18 games with the Hyannis Habor Hawks.
