Callaway Steps Up Big In Cape Cod League PDF Print

Will Callaway, a rising senior at Appalachian State University, has raised his stock putting up solid numbers in a highly-touted summer baseball league, the Cape Cod League. Callaway, who is playing for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks, is currently second on the team in runs-batted-in. He had two hits and drove in a run Thursday night in a 14-3 win against the

Cotuit Kettleers. In 17 games, Callaway is batting .288 with four doubles, a home run and 11 RBI.
Ryan Arrowood made his first relief appearance at the professional level Thursday night for the Tri-City Dust Devils the Class A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies of the Northwest League. Arrowood went three innings and he gave up an earned run on three hits with a walk and two strikeouts in a 7-6 loss to Boise. Arrowood in four appearances is 0-0 with a 1.23 earned-run-average. He's given up two earned runs with four walks and nine strikeouts. Opponents are batting a meager .196 against him.
