The honors just keep pouring in for Daniel Kassouf, who completed his college eligibility with Appalachian State University this spring. Kassouf, who was ranked nationally in home runs, runs-batted-in, and slugging percentage, has been named first team All-America by the American Baseball Coaches Association. Kassouf batted .339 with a school record 17 home runs and
runs, 66 RBI, and a .635 slugging percentage for the Mountaineers this season. He also led the Southern Conference in home runs and runs-batted-in. Ryan Arrowood, who made his professional debut with the Tri City Dust Devils (the Class A Northwest League affiliate of the Colorado Rockies) Tuesday afternoon, has been named a second-team selection on the All-Atlantic Region team by the ABCA. Arrowood, who tossed four shutout innings in his first career start at the professional level, is joined on that squad by Tyler Tewell (who has signed with the Atlanta Braves) and Will Callaway (who is playing in the Cape Cod Collegiate League).
