Breitenstein Named Pre-Season All-America PDF Print

Fullback Eric Breitenstein of Wofford College was named a first-team FCS Offensive All-America by Championship Breitenstein, a red-shirt senior, is also on the Walter Payton Watch List. The Walter Payton Award goes to the best offensive

player in the nation at the FCS level. Breitenstein, who graduated from Watauga High School in Boone, N.C., ran for 1,474 yards and 19 touchdowns last season. For his career, Breitenstein has rambled for 3,695 yards and 46 touchdowns. And during his prep days at WHS, Breitenstein ran for 6,151 yards, including 2,445 yards 29 touchdowns his senior year. He was named the North Carolina Player of the Year by; and he was named All-State by the Associated Press.
Wofford College opens the season at Gardner-Webb on Saturday, September 1 at 6 p.m.
