The Watauga Blast softball team pulled off a pair of wins Tuesday night. First of all, the Blast (3-0) beat Mother Nature as they got game one of their double-header in against Happy Valley. Unfortunately, Mother Nature won

the argument as game two was rained out. But the Blast made the most of its opportunity as they clobbered Happy Valley, 12-1. Watauga pounded out 18 hits.
Kim Robinson led the assault by going 4-4 with two doubles and a home run; she was just as dominant on the mound. Robinson tossed a one hitter, struck out six and walked four. Savannah Drummonds went 4-4; Taylor Drummonds went 2-4; Hope LaPointe was 3-3 with a double, a sacrifice fly and she drove in a run; Megan Jackson was 3-4.
Watauga takes on Johnson County (TN) next Thursday night.
